Wow, what a weekend 
We kicked off with Sophia in the 50 Free with a PB and qualifying 6th for the finals; Long Him and Toby both swam PBs in the 50 back for 17th and 9th (R1); Caitlyn swam a great 50 Breast for 11th in a PB time; Simon was 16th in the 50 Fly with a great PB. Gary and Kate were happy to showcase the new Altrincham SC flag 
Followed by a brilliant afternoon of relays and finals
Sophia swam a fabulous 50 Free final, going sub 30 secs again, just getting touched out in 8th but it was anybody's in a tough final! Well done Sophia; what a great Regional campaign, coming back from injury and showing your determination
We had so much fun with the relays!
We kicked off with the boys over 17 4 x 100 freestyle relay, where Altrincham found themselves in the fastest heat 
. Dylan got us off to a great start; Thomas put in a great swim; Max put some power down and we finished with Simon who brought us home in style for 7th place.

Dylan got us off to a great start; Thomas put in a great swim; Max put some power down and we finished with Simon who brought us home in style for 7th place.Our over 17 girls absolutely smashed it with Caitlyn; Rosie, Hannah and Emily laying down some fast times for 6th in the 4 x 100 freestyle relay, and then in a real display of team work they worked together (in a reworked format!) for 7th in the medley relay with Caitlyn on back, Rosie on breast, Niamh on fly and Emily on free.

Sunday brought another fantastic day by ASC courtesy of SENW Regionals!
Simon kicked us off in the 50 Free with a PB swim and a place in the final. Simon finished in 5th in the final with yet another PB and a great swim
Sophia C swam an excellent PB in the 50 Back for 19th, with Jessica and Hannah (PB) both qualifying for the finals. In gutsy swims, Jessica finished in an excellent 8th and Hannah finished in a breakthrough 6th place with a technically excellent swim which is testament to her hard work and focus over the last couple of years.

Yet again the relays proved to be a lot of fun!
Sam, Long Him, Harry and Toby were up first in the 4 x 100 free relay. They fought hard for a fantastic 19th place in the 14-16 age group
The end of the weekend saw the 14-16 year old girls Medley relay.
The girls were in the first heat and swam a gutsy swim for each other for an excellent 15th place. Hannah led them out with a strong backstroke leg, Poppy did a fantastic job on the breaststroke , handing over to Imogen who did a big PB for a great fly leg. Mollie swam with courage to hold position on the free for a great overall race for the girls!
The boys followed this up with a very strong backstroke leg from Toby, Long Him battled hard against some fast breaststrokers before handing over to Sam for the fly. Sam dug deep with a great swim in and handed over to Harry for a strong finish. The boys finished in 18th
I must say a huge thank you to Ian and Gary who were Team Managers: it was a really long weekend but your positive energy was invaluable. Thank you to Kristina for team managing the relays this afternoon too.
Shout out to the Officials including Caitlyn who was on the Officials team today after all her swims yesterday.
