A few thank yous!
First to Helen who works so hard to make these events happen, and to the Officials team and results desk who are absolutely brilliant and ensure that all of our internal events are licensed.

Thank you to our Team Managers - John, Matt, and Martin who looked after the children so well. To Mollie for manning the main marshalling station and to Beth, Jade, Andy and Dylan for brilliant coaching and marshalling support all evening (and for helping to lock up the building 🤩)

Thank you to all the parents/carers spectating which provided a great atmosphere.

But mostly a big thank you to our swimmers! We had so many new members who were so brave and stepped into racing so well (like ducks to water 🦆) to our veteran 9 and 10 year olds who have grown so much in confidence that they are now helping the other swimmers 💙 and to our older swimmers who definitely brought the competitive spirit and fun last night. Well done to you all - results are in the Members Area of the website.

If any parents fancy becoming an Official or a Team Manager please do get in touch 💙💛

Cheshire County Championships 2026 - Roundup
Cheshire County Championships 2026 - Roundup
That’s a wrap for Counties 2026!  We have seen 3 great weekends of racing, with lots of great swims and learning opportunities!

Swimming is a tough sport at the best of times but as a small club we’ve had so much to deal with managing pool time over the last few years. Just as we thought things were going to be on the up, St Ambrose shut at the start of November with our top squad losing around 40% of their pool time. There was so much uncertainty in the weeks that followed, and thank you to Move Altrincham who have rallied round to help save our programme which we managed to launch right at the end of January 🙏🏼

We matched our medal total from last year which was great to see with 26 medals in total 🫶
🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈
🥉🥉🥉🥉🥉🥉🥉🥉

Top boy has to be Tom R who has come back from City of Liverpool for Cheshire Counties, with 11 🥇, 1 🥈and 2 🥉plus a myriad of overall awards and top 15 year old boy and 3rd boy overall in the County.  Well done Tom 🙏🏼

Top girl is a real new comer, who always wants to learn, always tries her best and is a really hard worker. She’s lovely to have as part of our team! Etta has only just turned 10 and at her first counties won 1🥇1 🥈 and 1 🥉Etta was 6th girl over all in the 10-11 age group. Keep up the good work Etta and keep smiling always!

We made 85 top 8 finishes which is fantastic, with a strong PB rate 💪
Our other fantastic medal winners were:
🥈Simon
🥈Jack
🥈Sophia R
🥈Olivia
🥈Jessica
🥉Long Him
🥉Sam
🥉Hannah
🥉Toby
🥉Relay (Thomas,Dylan,Jack,Max)

Well done to all the swimmers! The hard work continues now with our new programme and lots of gains to be made for the rest of the season 💙💛

Cheshire County Championships 2026 - First Weekend
What a great start for the team at Cheshire Counties this weekend;  Our swimmers showed up and produced some great performances!

There were some brilliant PBs and some excellent racing! Well done to Etta, Athena, Sophia C and Joshua racing in their first ever Counties and to Imogen, Toby, Nina, Caitlyn and Athena for setting the tone and training Saturday morning in prep for the meet in the afternoon/evening.

It was a pleasure to watch the racing, and the team spirit was amazing, with everyone looking after each other. The swimmers dealt with what the races threw at them and finished up smiling.

Big love to Sophia and Jessica who battled on despite their racing circumstances on Sunday.

Thank you to Gary, Catherine and Jo for being fantastic Team Managers and to Coach Leah for excellent poolside presence and for bringing the snacks.  Even though we were still zombies when we arrived for training at 6pm on Sunday, the snacks definitely helped!

Cheshire County Qualifiers 2026
Cheshire County Qualifiers 2026
WELL DONE TO OUR AMAZING CHESHIRE COUNTY QUALIFIERS!

We are absolutely delighted to see such an extensive list of swimmers who have qualified for Cheshire Counties 2026!  It’s fantastic to see a such range of ages and squads represented, with a lot new faces joining the old pros!

It’s a great achievement to qualify for Counties and a lot of hard work has gone into these qualifications. From the hard work in training to chasing the qualification times in the November and December galas it’s been quite a journey for some! There are also those swimmers who did the work but just missed out. We look forward to the meets in the Spring where they will come through stronger 💪

We look forward to the racing starting on the 24 January and finishing with the exciting County Relays on 8th February. 💙💛

Thanks to all the Coaches for their hard work and support to the swimmers too! 🙌💙💛
Manchester Area Cross Country League - January 2026
Manchester Area Cross Country League - January 2026
It’s always great to celebrate our swimmers however they excel, and yesterday we saw some of our swimmers out racing at the Manchester Area Cross Country League @manareaxc at Tatton Park.

What a beautiful day it was, on a tough but crisp and frosty course.

I was absolutely delighted to be able to watch Joshua L from Pre Performance take the win 🥇 in the U11 boys and Jacob R from D1 take 3rd place 🥉.  Mollie from Performance also did a fantastic job in the U15 girls with a fast run too 🙌  Joshua had already warmed up at Move Altrincham with a nice 20x100 threshold set at 6am 💪

If you’ve ever seen the MACCL it’s a high quality field so it’s fantastic to see our swimmers doing so brilliantly. We hope their training in the pool has helped with their cardiovascular development for running!!

Well done everyone 💙💛 - and if I’ve missed anyone who was also running, I’m so sorry and well done 🙌
Trafford Christmas Cracker - December 2025
Trafford Christmas Cracker - December 2025
We had an absolutely wonderful Christmas time at the fantastic Trafford Borough Christmas Cracker.  We saw some outstanding swimming from all the Trafford clubs and the other visitors, which made for a really uplifting day!

Our swimmers absolutely smashed it with PB after PB and 67 (yes 6-7 sorry) medals.  It’s a wonderful total and matches our huge medal tally from back in 2021!

Thanks to Coach Leah for great energy and feedback throughout the meet, ALL our Officials of which there were many, our medal desk, raffle and Marshall volunteers and Ian, Kristina, Nick and Jo as our excellent TMs.

And another huge well done to Simon who raced in the 50 Freestyle, finishing 34th Junior with another outstanding time.  Well done Simon!

That closes our Winter Nationals campaign and both Jack and Simon had great swims with lots of potential for the rest of the season 🙌.  Thanks also to Coach Lewis for being on poolside duty  💪
Arena League Final Round - December 2025
Arena League Final Round - December 2025
What a fantastic performance from our Arena team in the final round!!!  A stunning 5th place - we fought hard and finished strongly!

With lots of swimmers swimming up and being on the younger side of the age groups we were so proud of the team performance in a tough line up!

There were first places from Sophia C in the 10-11 50 Back, Simon H in 16/over 100 Free and the 16/Over 4x50 Free Relay of Dylan F, Max O, Michael W and Simon H - all swimming 25.1 or below for the win 🙌💪

It was last gala for our wonderful team member Erin, who is moving away from swimming to pursue her dodgeball career.  Erin is a fantastic athlete, she can turn her hand to anything she wants to and she has been a big asset to ASC.  There were lots of tears last night, dodgeball is lucky to have you 🥰 Don’t be a stranger Erin and good luck with every thing you do.💙💛

Well done everyone, you all deserved your ducks tonight: proud coach. Great attitude and great delivery.
Stockport Metro Open Meet - November 2025
Stockport Metro Open Meet - November 2025
Fantastic showing at Stockport from the team, against some of the fastest swimmers around.  We were treated to some excellent racing across the weekend.

Big thumbs up and special mention to Simon for an outstanding effort in the 100 Free, placing 2nd overall in a new PB.  Swimming is brutal though with 0.02 separating Simon from the time he wanted for Winter Nationals. Onwards and upwards 🙏🏼

Jack had a great swim for 8th in the 17/over with a second fastest ever time in the 100 Free and then Jack was a welcome support to the team this afternoon taking splits and discussing race tactics 💪

Caitlyn is getting back to her best with a great 100 Breast for 5th in the 16 age group and then she smashed her 50 Free PB for 13th place.

Sam swam well for 10th in the 400 Free, with just a few tweaks in pacing around the middle he’d have taken a PB 🙏🏼 but solid swimming nonetheless.

Sophia swam brilliantly in the 200 Free consolidating her new PB and getting the process right for 7th, she also swam to a great 7th in the 50 Free 🫶🙌

Max swam a great 50 breast winning his heat for a seasons best and 4th in the 16 years age group - hitting his first 25 exactly how he wanted to. (Thanks to Jack for the timekeeping 🙌)

A big thanks to Dylan and Lewis for leading on the Coach support this morning 🙌

Sunday kicked off with a little bit of a flat start for Sam in the 400 IM, but after a swim down and a chat with the team he came back for a massive PB in the 50 Fly 💪  That is definitely the way to roll! Love this Sam 🙌🙌

Jack stepped up for probably the swim of the day with a life time best in 100 fly and a really well executed race plan. He was 0.1 outside the Winter Nationals time and couldn’t quite match it in the final but it was a fantastic effort, with lots of potential.  He sandwiched the heat and final with a great 50 Fly winning the 17 and over age group!  Nice morning Jack 🙌🙌

Next up was Sophia in the 100 Free with a strong swim for 7th in her age group.  She then swam a solid 50 back. Sophia swam the backstroke as a warm up for her 400 free which we were using purely to help her learn the race process… and she smashed out an outstanding PB!  Well done Sophia 😀

Jack kicked off with a PB in the 100 IM to get the afternoon session started.

Simon arrived for the afternoon session knowing he had some serious speed, ready for the 50 Free.  He delivered with a new PB at 23.81 and a safe Winter Nationals time, also taking the overall win in the 17 and overs 💪💪 Jack wasn’t far behind in 6th with a new PB time too.

Our last swimmer of the day was Caitlyn, who’d also been volunteering as a marshal in the morning session. She’s always strong in a 50 breast and she did not disappoint, well done Caitlyn 🙌🙌 great swimming.
ASC Distance Championships 2025, Session 2 - November 2025
ASC Distance Championships 2025, Session 2 - November 2025
We had another great night at Club Champs last night with the boys 200 fly and breast and the girls 200 back, free, IM and skins 🙌

We had a bumper night of Club records, with Wendy in the 17 and over 200 back, Adam H in the 9-10 200 Fly and Dylan in the 17 and over 200 Breast 💙💛

The Skins were fierce with Bella taking the win in the 14/unders, Mikaela in 2nd and Jessica in 3rd, and in the 15 and overs Sophia stepped up for 3rd place, Emily in 2nd and Rosie won with a fantastic finish in the last 50 Fly!  Well done everyone; that was superb and lots of fun!

In other news, Hannah and Daisy swam PBs at BUCS, doing us all proud and Simon was swimming at Nova Centurian; coming 3rd in the both the 50 Free and 100 Free events 💪
Session 1 of 2025 Distance Championships - November 2025
Session 1 of 2025 Distance Championships - November 2025
What a return to racing at @move_altrincham for the first night of our Distance Club Champs !

The atmosphere was fantastic, everything worked and the swimmers smashed out some great 200 PBs!

We finished the night with the boys’ skins competition which was very exciting! Qualifiers were 15 & over - Dylan, Sam, Toby, Thomas and Matthew and 14 & under - Long Him, Ian, Felix, Sam and Joshua.  The racing was close and tense with Long Him taking the victory in the 14 & under followed by Felix then Ian and in the 15 & over it looked like an easy victory for Coach Dylan. However after a blistering first 25 in the final round Dylan seemed to take a break at the wall, with Sam taking victory and Thomas in 3rd place.  Well done to everyone who took part!

As always a huge thank you to Helen and her team, all the parent volunteers who make this happen, to Kristina, Emma and Matt who were brilliant TMs and to the Coaches for their great input too. Also a special thank you to Scott from Move Alty who was literally the most helpful he could have been, what a ⭐️

We can’t wait for next week now!
Arena League Round 2 - November 2025
Arena League Round 2 - November 2025
I can’t shout loud enough about this team tonight, they were absolutely AWESOME!

Round 2 of Arena League saw more drop outs than we have ever seen as a club; from prior engagements to the dreaded illness and injury. However our amazing team stepped up and swam with heart and soul to take a comfortable 4th place over all!

Thank you to all the swimmers who stepped in, swam up, swam random events and saved the day, we could not be prouder coaches tonight.

ASC you really showed your spirit tonight, WELL DONE, that was pretty difficult but you smashed it!!

Thanks to Felicity and James and Caitlyn who stepped up to help officiate at the meet too! Getting to Wigan on a Friday night isn’t always straightforward but these meets wouldn’t happen without the dedication of the officials giving up their own time.

A massive well done to our fantastic Arena team who took team spirit to the next level and swam brilliantly in Darwen tonight!

There were loads of PBs across the team from the oldest to the youngest.

It was a tough gig with a couple of debatable DQs in the first couple of races which lost us a lot of points but our blue and yellow 💙💛 team kept fighting and brought it back for 5th place.

There were stand out swims from Hannah B with a massive 1st place in the 15/u 100 Back, Simon coming 1st in Open 100 Free, and Dylan, Michael W, Max and Simon for smashing a huge win in the Open Male 4 x 50 Freestyle relay. Still got it! 🤣 Emily delivered a great 200 IM and 100 Free and Long Him delivered some consistently excellent relay swims stepping up seamlessly to swimming in the older age group.
As a team, you were brilliant; keep up the hard work 💙💛

Thanks to Gary, Jacqui and Ian for Team Managing, and Felicity and James for officiating. Thanks to our cheerleaders who came to support us 💙💛

Special mention to Coach Leah who refused to even be photographed a year ago when she joined and today she was all in with the Austen Powers style blue and yellow vibes 💙💛 🤣

New Team Captains - September 2025
New Team Captains - September 2025
💙Introducing our new captains team💛

Firstly a big thank you to our outgoing captains Hannah and Harry, and vice captains Megan and Thomas, thank you for representing our club!
Rosie and Toby are our new Captains and we think that they will do a great job. Rosie joined ASC a couple of years ago, made friends easily and slipped into squad life like she’d always been there so becoming girls captain felt like a natural next step. Toby has grown up through ASC, becoming more and more confident as the years have passed and he’s a fantastic role model for hard work and determination leading to great outcomes.
Mollie and Sam are our vice captains - both swimmers have embraced our Swimmer ABCs from a really young age; they are two of our most reliable team members and consistent trainers. They’ve both represented the club almost weekly since they were 8 and 9 years old, from diddy meets through to Irish Nationals; sticking with the club as little fishes through the covid lock downs and growing in stature and performance year on year.
Jessica and Long Him are our junior captains, in recognition of their hard work. Jessica has been a long time member of the club and with a quiet consistency she is a real team player and popular squad member. She always has a smile and a kind word for her team mates. Long Him is relatively new to ASC but he has 100% embraced our club values and is going from strength to strength. Both swimmers play an important role in our team!
If you see any of our captains around, do make sure you say hello!
Swim England English Nationals - August 2025
Swim England English Nationals - August 2025
Well done to our super star Emily who qualified for two events at this year's Swim England Nationals  in Sheffield.

Emily's first event, on Tuesday morning saw her racing hard, coming 24th in the 400IM 💪   It was also great to spend time with our FAST Squad friends from Trafford Metro 🫶 - good luck to Letian for the final this evening 🙏🏼

Then on Saturday, kudos to Emily for a gutsy, brave, “let’s leave it all in the pool” swim in the 1500 Free.  With nothing to lose, Emily took it out hard and decided to see how long she could hold on; this is why we LOVE Emily’s spirit.  Leading the race from the start, at one point Emily considered whether she had done a false start as there was no one near her!  She powered on and gave her best effort 💯   When asked how she felt post race, Emily’s response is something we all need to remember in this often brutal sport: “I had a lot of fun,”

Well done Emily, you’re a fantastic competitor and team mate and you’ve inspired so many in our great Club!   You can enjoy the rest of your summer now! 💙💛💙💛
Cheshire County Masters - July 2025
Cheshire County Masters - July 2025
Well done to Emily who got a County Record last weekend at the Cheshire Masters Champs in the 400 IM!  Nice little warm up for her upcoming 400 IM at Nationals on Tuesday!

Well done Emily!
Irish Nationals - July 2025
Irish Nationals - July 2025

Hannah, Sam and Thomas represented Altrincham at the Irish Nationals in Dublin this week.

Sam and Thomas both kicked off their campaigns with the 400IM and 100 Breast, with Hannah starting with the 100 Fly, resulting in a solid start to the meet with 2 x PBs for Sam, 1 x PB for Thomas in 100 Breast and a PB for Hannah.  A nice way to acclimatise to the meet and to set the standard!

The second day of the event  saw Thomas and Sam have great 200 Breast races with PBs, again, for both swimmers 🙌🙌

Day 3 and all of our superstars are racing in the same session!  200 Back for Hannah who came in in 11th place, just shy of her PB, 200 IM for Thomas and 200 IM and 200 Fly for Sam.  It was quite a spectacle with the boys next to each other in the heats of the 200 IM and both boys pulled out a fantastic swim and a PB!  The ASC battle was won by Thomas by a tiny margin!  Then Sam was back in the pool again for the 200 fly, he went out with strong intent and finished just a little outside his PB.

💛Well done Hannah, Sam and Thomas, and to Emma and Jennie for being an excellent support crew💛

Regional Development Programme - May 2025
What a great day with the Regional Development Programme at Wigan Life Centre!  Coach Kate is sad that it was her last weekend on the programme after 2 consecutive years as a skills coach and then this year as the lead coach.  It was fun to work with an inspiring bunch of coaches, and to see how much this particular group of swimmers have thrived since the first camp in October 🙌🙌

As ever; Team Alison and Meg were the best 🤣🥰 with Team Dan and Team James trying to steal victories in the team comps!
Lucy's Cross-Channel Relay News - May 2025
Lucy's Cross-Channel Relay News - May 2025
Lucy R, one of our long standing Coaches and swimmers, has been training hard with her friends for a 6 person channel relay crossing in July.  Lucy is raising money for CRY - Cardiac Risk in the Young, which is also our Club’s chosen charity - for our 30th anniversary the Club raised £6,000 to pay for a CRY screening session in memory of Chloe Waddell, one of our young and most talented swimmers 🌻

Please sponsor Lucy if you can!  SPONSOR LUCY HERE!  Lucy’s team are also selling swimming hats and stickers to raise more funds.

Lucy's training update - We’re officially two months away from swimming the English Channel! The past few months have been tough – balancing training, cold water acclimatisation, and my dissertation – but I’ve managed to rack up over 90 km of swimming so far!  Last Wednesday, we successfully completed our qualifying swim in 15.5°C water.  It was tough, requiring us to swim for two hours in the cold while avoiding some gigantic swans.  A massive thank you to everyone who has donated already – I’m halfway to reaching my fundraising goal! CRY does incredible work supporting bereaved families and raising awareness about early cardiac deaths. Their efforts have been vital in identifying cardiac abnormalities that might otherwise have gone unnoticed. It’s a charity very close to my heart, as I’ve seen first-hand the amazing impact their work can have. Any donation, big or small, is hugely appreciated.  To keep up with our training follow our Instagram @sheswimslikeagirl!

SENW Summer Regionals 2025 Final Weekend - May 2025
SENW Summer Regionals 2025 Final Weekend - May 2025
What a fantastic end to a brilliant @swimenglandnorthwest Regionals campaign!  This (final) weekend was the 15 and over age groups.
We had a great spread of events from the short and sharp 50s through to the 400 IM and every single one of our swimmers smashed out a worthy swim: as Coaches it was great to see the swimmers step up to the big occasion!

Saturday's swims were:-
Open 400 IM -Sam 11th PB, Thomas 10th PB
Open 100 Free -Simon 24th, Coach Ash 🥈in the final
Open 200 Breast -Thomas 14th PB
Female 200 Back -Hannah 15th PB, Wendy 12th

Female 50 Back -Hannah 9th PB, Wendy 17th PB
Female 200 Free -Emily 13th

We had an exciting end to the day with a swim off for Hannah in the 50 Back; After a fantastic start and under water, the girls were neck and neck with the Wigan Best swimmer just taking the touch 🙌 leaving Hannah with another PB to finish the racing.  Well done to both girls!

The Sunday swimmers turned up with their best positive mindsets, knew their race plans and stepped up for some excellent swims!
During what was a long day, their support for each other was unwavering, with everyone contributing to the positive vibe on the poolside. They also were a fantastic support to Coach Kate who was being assessed for her Level 3 course 🤞

💛 First up was Emily in the 400 IM who had not been feeling 100% yesterday.  In true Emily style she pushed as hard as she could for a very solid 12th. 💪
💙 Next it was Max, who even though he’s given up swimming and has been in the pool 3 times since early October, he had decided he fancied getting back in for a 50 Breast! It was lovely to have him back on the poolside with us and he swam a truly excellent first 35m, just fading in the last 15m for 18th. 🙌
💛 Next up was Hannah with another PB in the 50 Fly with a technically really well executed swim for 16th 🫶
💙 Thomas had another strong swim in the 200 IM for another PB (3rd of the weekend) and 15th place 🙌
💛 Hannah was back in action for the 100 Back, finishing in 14th place with yet another PB swim 💪
💙 Wendy swiftly followed Hannah in the 100 Back with a strong seasons best, qualifying for the open age final. After listening to her feedback, Wendy stepped up to race a close finish with a confident 7️⃣th in the final 🙌
💛 Thomas had a fantastic 100 Breast with another PB, building on the feedback from yesterday for 20th.💪
💙In the 400 Free Megan swam with determination and purpose, taking the lead in her heat to set her intentions. In a seasons best swim, Megan finished in 11th place 🫶
💛Also in the 400 Free Emily swam a really well paced swim; particularly as we weren’t sure what she had left in the tank.  Coming in on PB and finishing in style; Emily took a well deserved 7️⃣th place 💪

Thank you to our poolside team this Regionals - you have been amazing!
- Coach Leah you get a gold star ⭐ and thanks to Dylan for coming on Sunday
- TMs Gary, Kristina, Ian and Emma - we couldn’t do it without you all!  Thank you!

💙 Toby from Youth - in the recent 6 week 20x100 jelly baby case study Toby completed all 6 weeks, all 120 x100 and was by far the most consistent trainer in the group.  Well done to James, Dylan, Mollie,Imogen, Poppy, Ella, Jessica and Jessica who also completed all 100s over each of the 6 weeks to a high standard 🙌
Our winner for March is Hamish from D3 💙💛
Hamish had some fantastic swims at the Satellites Last Chance Meet, he even seemed to be surprising himself.  His hard work and friendly manner have not gone unnoticed and we look forward to the next opportunity for racing to see how Hamish and the D3 gang have progressed!
SENW Summer Regionals 2025 Second Weekend - April 2025
SENW Summer Regionals 2025 Second Weekend - April 2025

What an amazing weekend at Liverpool for the second weekend of the SENW Summer Regionals.

Saturday saw Sophia swam with heart, determination and tenacity, and all of her hard training paid off, in what was a monster programme of events at SENW Summer Regionals.
💙 First up was a 6.5 second PB in the 400 Free for 7️⃣th place with a pretty much perfectly executed race plan.
💛 Next, Sophia swam an outstanding 2 second PB to qualify 7th for the final in the 100 Free. She managed to improve on this time further to take 4️⃣th in a nail biting final.
💙 In the heat of the 50 Free, Sophia shaved almost a second off her PB to make the final, coming 7️⃣th hitting a similar time to the heat at the end of a long day.
💛 Last event before the finals saw Sophia swim a brave and perfectly paced 800 Free finishing in 6️⃣th with another 5 seconds knocked off her PB, again getting her pacing spot on and executing an excellent race.
Well done Sophia, the coaches were delighted to be able to make this a “two duck” achievement… which is unprecedented 🤣🤣🐣🐣

Toby, Thomas and Harry stepped up first for some great swims in the 4 x 100 Free relay coming 15th overall.  They were followed by Imogen, Nina, Hannah and Mollie who all PB’d for 18th place.
Our 17 and over girls swam a strong 4 x 200 relay for 5th place showing some great determination. Well done to Emily, Hannah, Rosie and Megan 💪
In the 14-16 4x100 Medley we had Toby on Back, Thomas on Breast and Harry on Free who swam hard for 12th overall.
Hannah (Back), Ella (Breast), Imogen (Fly), and Mollie (Free) were 15th in the 14-16 4 x 100 Girls Medley relay.
Thanks to James from Liverpool for the airhorn… it added a new joy to our cheering 💪
Jessica was flying the flag for the 12 year olds today, swimming the 100 Back. It turned out to be a tough race and Jessica finished 12th overall in a strong field. It wasn’t the race she wanted but we are proud of your the effort. Well done Jessica 💪
Regional Qualifiers - April 2025
Regional Qualifiers - April 2025
Well done to our 13 Regional Qualifiers who will start their campaign this weekend!

Well done to all of you for qualifying and for your hard work to date, we are looking forward to seeing you shine.  You’ve put in a good block of work and you are well placed for some fast swims over the next few weeks!

It’s bitter sweet for the squad as there were several of our dedicated swimmers who literally just missed out, and we know how disappointing that can feel when you have worked so hard.  But these experiences make us fight harder and we know you will all come back stronger!

Be sure to cheer your team mates on even louder 💙💛

Pointscore 1 - March 2025
What a fantastic evening of swimming at Gala 1 of Pointscore 2025!  We had so many first timers racing and they all absolutely smashed it!  It was a pleasure to see them practicing the new skills that they have been learning in their squads.  An extra big shout out to the new Ducklings who joined in for the first time 🐥🐥

Our older swimmers excelled themselves, with some great races and some excellent team spirit getting their teams ready for the 20-strong canon at the end.  Well done to Team Pullbuoy for winning the cannon relay 💪

Thanks as always to Helen who does an amazing job organising these events.  Thank you to all the Officials for stepping up and ensuring that these galas are licensed.  Thank you to the Team Managers and Coaches who marshalled all the swimmers, especially Kristina and Beth who must have done at least 20,000 steps tonight, each!

It was great to see some of our older swimmers who came back to help manage their teams.  It’s nights like this that we can be so proud of 💙💛💙💛

We've updated the meet calendar for the coming year.  It's not exhaustive and I'm sure things will change during the year, but it should help to understand which galas are aimed at your swimmer and will hopefully help you plan for these.

Resource Information
Resource Information

There is a ‘Members Resources’ section of the Members Area on the website and there is already lots of interesting and useful information on there, so please have a look if you haven’t already. Helen I, who is our most senior Official and coordinates our Pointscores, has recently put together some really useful links on the technical rules for each stroke which will help all swimmers to understand the rules better.

Reporting Absence
