It’s always nice to celebrate the achievements of our swimmers who compete in other sports. Today was a significant event for our team of saleharriersmcr runners as they raced at the English Road Racing Association National Road Relays at Sutton Park in Birmingham.
The standard was super fast, with the best teams in England out to show off their talent.
Joshua led his under 14 team off to a great start, withstanding the chaos of a narrow down hill start just like the pro he is! Joshua’s team finished in 34th place with Joshua delivering a really fast first leg. Clearly 6am swim training this morning was the warm up he needed

Abel was up next, taking the last leg in his U14 relay which finished in 53rd over all. Abel had a strong finish, despite the steep hills and he even made it to training this evening, what a champ!
Mollie ran the 3rd leg in a really fast girls team, so she was definitely feeling the pressure to perform for her team mates. She had an excellent start and absolutely powered home for a fast finish after that last big hill. Mollie’s team were delighted with their top 20 finish

It just shows that our swimmers have grit, resilience and fantastic team spirit and we are very proud of them!
